Cleopatra Berenice was the daughter of Lathyros (Ptolemy IX Soter II) and was married to
Ptolemy X Alexander I. After the death of Alexander, she ruled for about one year alone. She
was forced to marry her much younger stepson (or possible son). Nineteen days after the
marriage took place, Ptolemy XI murdered his new bride.
