The Cavafy Museum in Alexandria

The museum is dedicated to Constantine Cavafy (1863-1933), a great poet who was born in Alexandria.  His parents were Greek and he is buried in the Greek cemetery.  The museum is his house, with his original furniture, pictures and rare editions of his books.  There is also a room dedicated to another Greek writer, Stratis Tsirkas.  The museum is located at No. 4 Shari Sharm el-Sheikh.
