In 1985, Professor
Jean-Claude Goyon and a team
of medical experts undertook
a detailed examination of a
mummy in the Guimet Museum
of Natural History in Lyons.
Analysis of the head
provided information on
skull preservation and
removal of the brain. This
mummy was wrapped in strips
torn from a sail, and his
lungs had marks typically
made from dust. Based on
these clues, it is believed
he was a sailor.
