Location: Tanis
Excavation: A. Mariette's Excavations of 1861
Period: Late Ptolemaic (Greek) Dynasty (80-50 BC)

This male head was once a part of a complete statue. It depicts an older man who was probably of high standing. The gaze is accentuated by the deep-set eye sockets.
