Bull's Eye Pub, Cairo
and
Love Parade Berlin

By Daniel Lanier

The recent heat wave in Cairo with temperatures up to 44°C (111°F) and an abundance of work have prevented me from going out and exploring Egypt’s nightlife this month. But, I have two news items to report, which I don’t want to keep from you.

The first: Cairo’s well-known club " El-Gatro Negro" has changed again – its name as well as the decoration. If you’re searching in Cairo/Mohandeseen for the "El-Gatro Negro" dance club, but finding instead, the BULL’S EYE PUB at the same place, just drop in. You won’t be disappointed. BULL’S EYE PUB is an English pub, with almost daily live performances and disco – salsa, sixties and dance music as well as regular karaoke events (address below).

The second news: The last Tour Egypt Nightlife Review (Tour Egypt Monthly, May issue) introduced Sharm El-Sheikh’s club & disco "Bus Stop". Amr Ismail is running beside the "Bus Stop" also the "Echo Temple Desert Stage", and he is famous for his weekly House Nation Parties at the Sanafir Hotel in Sharm. His dream is to see Sharm El-Sheikh becoming an international clubbing destination. To make this dream coming true, »Bus Stop« and "Echo Temple" are taking part at this year’s Love Parade in Berlin/Germany with their own truck. The news agency AP’s headline reads: »Egyptian DJ’s will be raving at the Love Parade«. The Love Parade is celebrated annually during summer in Berlin’s city center, bringing more than one Million ravers from all over the world, together for one unlimited party. It is the world’s biggest open-air techno, house and dance floor party. This year around 50 trucks from 14 countries, with sound systems, loudspeakers, DJ’s and dancers, will be participating in this event, and among these 50 trucks will be Amr Ismail’s "Echo Temple/Bus Stop Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt".

BULL’S EYE PUB. Jeddah St. 32, Mohandessin, Cairo/Giza. Left to the restaurant »Tia Maria«. Telephone: 76 16 888. Daily from 7:00 pm.
