This statue of Tut'ankhamun resides in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. As one of the last rulers of the 18th Dynasty, Tut'ankhamun had to re-establish royal authority through rulership. At the time this statue was created the Hittited in Asia Minor were a threat to Egyptian influence in north Syria and the Levant.
