Lower Nile Valley from El-Minya to El-Minya - The Past

This area of Egypt represents Lower Egypt (Northern) up to the Cairo/Memphis/Sakkara historical areas.  Its past, due to its proximity to the Fayoum Oasis, is rich in Christian, Greek and Pharaonic culture. It is closely related to the Fayoum, and any discussion of the area is highly dependent on that Oasis.
