The 3rd International Song Festival will be held at the CICC (Cairo International Conference Center) on July 31 - August 6, 1997 under the auspices of the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and the FIDOF (International Federation of Song Festivals). For the first time, La Macarena willl participate in the festival (August 1 & 3) at the Chinese Gardens of the CICC.

Three times in a row, the festival will highlight the development of artistic work of singers & composers whether professionals or amateurs. Pre- and post tours will also be offered to participants to further explore Egypt's tourist potentials as a land of hospitality and civilization.
