| Press Release Egypts Minister of Tourism Egypt Update February 13, 1998 Discovery of a Roman Bath in Sinai A Roman bath dating back to the third century was discovered in northern Sinai. The bath consists of sections for cold, hot and steam bathing. Pottery pipes run through the bath walls, which are 2.5 m high. Also found was a water drainage system and a round, well-shaped water source and heating ovens. This is the sixth Roman bath to be excavated in northern Sinai.
