    the construction of this palace was completed in 1821 not as written 1922

    We recently (Nov 2006) visited the newly restored Palace Fountain and found it to be exquisite!
    The restoration was magnificent and our tour guide, an Archeology Graduate, was just beaming with pride, not only about the beauty of the building, but also with the restoration job itself.
    We were doubly impressed by her knowledge and commitment to the preservation efforts in Cairo. We have encouraged all our family members to see this newly restored jewel, and many others that have been rehabilitated in our beloved Om elDonia.
