    To whom it may concern,

I am a 17-year-old student at the German School in Dokki (also known as DEO- Deutsche Evangelische Oberschule) who just happens to be the daughter of Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hussein, the Egyptian who had the great idea of how to transport the immense statue of Ramses II. I read your article and noticed that it contained false information. I quote:

“The contracting company that will be carrying out the transportation of the real statue, in collaboration with German experts, moved the replica some weeks ago through the same route intended for Ramesses II.”

Let me just tell you that this was an EGYPTIAN project where there was NO FOREIGN COMPANY NOR ANY GERMAN EXPERTS involved. Neither in the idea, nor in the design, nor in the construction!! Therefore I think that the next time you write an article about anything, you should inform yourselves correctly and make sure that all the details are valid. Maybe you got a wrong information this time and I would be surely glad if you gave me its source. Next time just find the right people to give you correct information.

I can assure you that this was a 100%-Egyptian project and it’s very sad that some Egyptian authorities and magazines just won’t admit it, since it’s one of the biggest things the Egyptians have made since almost twenty years. Even foreign news-agencies and TV-Channels referred to it as a genius idea of Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hussein.

As my future-plan is to enter the Faculty of Media, I hope that mistakes like that don’t happen to me in my future job.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

    With kind regards,
    Gehad

    Dear Miss Gehad,

I’m a 23 year old Engineer, who happened to be a student of your great father, a proud student.

I totally agree with you about the media not giving Dr. Ahmed the amount of credit he deserves. But what can we do if the Egyptian media itself, who should be the first to market the Egyptian engineers and scientists, almost neglected the rule of Dr. Ahmed, while cleberated the heroic accomplishment of the ‘Driver’ Mr. Ahmed EL-Gharabawy!
    Heya Di Masr !!
To Dr. Ahmed I say “we know, and we are proud”
