I have always dreamed of touring Egypt since learning about King Tut back in school. I was wondering if there is any tour groups that use ATVs or dune buggies for transportation as an alternative?
And also, Does one need to be afraid of travel to this area during such world events?

Yes, a number of companies use ATVs and some actually have busses that are four wheel drive for various purposes. I know that Travel Egypt, an AETBI member has these, as I have been on them before.
We believe that Egypt continues to be safe for tourists. The world events that you speak of are exactly that, world events that can happen anywhere, and have, in New York, London, Spain, and other places. Egypt though, is very safety aware, and puts much effort into keeping tourists safe.
