Abu Mina, near Alexandria, is an amazing ancient Christian site which attracted, during the 5th & 6th centuries, Europeans and Egyptians alike, with one of the largest churches in ancient Egypt.

    I’m planning a pilgrimage trip to Egypt this May…Alex, St. Menas (ruins), St. Macarius monastery, then out to St. Antony’s. I’m especially grateful to Jimmy Dunn’s writings…every search I make I find something he’s written.
