The Monastery of the Syrians, one of the four well known of its kind in the famous Wadi al-Natrun,  was established by monks of the nearby St. Bishoi (Pishoi) monastery who were opposed to Julianist doctrines.

    Hello, it is a very nice article, about the monasterys in Wadi. Wadi Natrum it is reach area to visit and this monastery tell us much about our cristian historie, but especial this places still bring peace. But I must say to visit In mondays and tuesday and wednesday because there is less visiters.

    And now U can see at the Syrians Monastery the older painting that was under the Dormition, the Adoration of the Magi discovered at 20 of December, it is still under restauration but it is very fine painting.
