Hi,
My name is Elizabeth.
I’m 10 years old and I would like
to know if I can start e-mailing some of the kids in
Egypt? Is there any way I can do that?
If I can just e-mail me back!
Thanks,
Elizabeth!
Ps.
If I can do that could you just
kind of keep them in the rang of my age!
Thanks!

This website is very informing and I would like my children to make use of it any time they pleases. They can certainly learn a lot from it and see that children all over are very similar to them specially in South Africa. Thank you for this most interesting experience!

Hello
I am an educator in Union City New Jersey USA. I was wondering if there are any educators in Egypt with Distance Learning capabilities. It would be great if we could actually meet students and do a lesson or project together. We have a Sony Polycom unit and we transmit over ISDN lines at the speed of 384.

I want to know more about the Egyptian culture and lifestyles of teenagers because I am thinking about becoming a foreign exchange student. I can’t wait to experience this new and exciting culture!
January 3rd, 2006 at 2:16 pm
I am searching for information on the Egyptian methods of child-rearing and family life. I was astounded to read that Egyptian teens walking with their families will often be seen holding the hands of their parents or grandparents. NOW that to me is successful parenting. Would appreciate any information you might be able to provide.
Thanks and my best wishes for a successful New Year.

Hello,
I’m a brownie troop leader in the US, in a town in rockville, MD just outside of Washington DC. My Brownie Troop (which consists of 14 girls aged 8 and 9) have chosen to represent Egypt on their Thinking Day, which is to be on Sunday February 26. What we need to know is what it is like to be a Girl Guide in Modern Egypt today. We’d like to know what the uniform looks like and what kind of activities girl guides do.
For our girl guide troop, we have done camping, we have learned sewing and knitting and we will be doing more outside sports such as softball and soccer come spring. Plus we will be learning wood working in March.
We have raised money to support a women’s shelter and we in general get together and have fun. The focus is on doing one’s best and learning how to interact and live in a society.
It would be great to see some pictures of girl guides either camping (where do you camp — are there parks and places which sponsor camp sites?) Do you have regular meetings and uniforms?
Thanks so much for a reply,
Anne

Hey! This website is really helpful!! I have to make a postcard for my Geo. class and I have to find stuff on Egypt. I think that the most intersting thing about Egypt is the culture and all of the stuff they do. It is all pretty much the same as here, but it is still interesting!! I would like to talk to some egyption kids also around the ages of 14 and 15? Do you have MSN??
Thanks for helping me!

I would seriously like to compliment you on the piece of work that you’ve created. I am doing a project on Egypt (not just Ancient Egypt) and i was having trouble finding information. After quite a bit of time searching (a couple of hours) i found your site and thought i had found a blessing. Your site has been helping many kids/adults/etc. (more than the ones who have posted) and i think that you deserve a big thank-you from all of us.
May 15th, 2006 at 7:47 pm
hey!
im doing research on modern Egyptian culture and was realli shocked to learn that it is almost the same as Australia or America. its kinda disappointing that things have changed and cultures r changing to b the same as other more common cultures.
cmon, when i think of Egypt i think of the amazing pyramids, deserts and sphynxes. its a bummer they are soo Americanised…
bring the old stuff bak!! please

October 28th, 2006 at 2:21 pm
Hi everyone ,
my name is sara and am egyption..After reading this website i was really pleased with the information written..,but i have some comments about the article..
1.Children in USA have a completly differnet life than ours..differnet tradition,so we cant be compared with any country nor any country could be compared by us!!!
2.Girls in egypt are allowed to drive starting from the age of 18…and its written in the passage that its not allowed and thats not true..
Basically i would like this article to be expanded ,explaning the traditions that egyption people have….so more people can know more bout Egypt..
Thanks… :’)

January 8th, 2007 at 6:54 pm
I am a Girl Scout Leader for 2nd grade Brownies in California and we chose Egypt to represent for thinking day. I would love to know what the Girl Guides of Egypt do for activities and what they wear. I would like to share some ancient Egypt informatin as well as modern Egypt information. If there is a troop who would like to share information with my troop that would be great too. What are some of the games children play, foods they eat. How is the education structured. Any info would be great. thanks.

The Girl Guides of Egypt is something that we have tried to get information on for some time, but I am about to make another wack at it, sending out Zahraa Adel Awed, who lives in Alexandria where they seem most prominent, to check things out.
