Yor wrote, “In Egypt, Copts have their own pope who is the head of the Coptic churches of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia.” This is no longer true.
Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (which is non coptic) has its own pope so the Egyptian pope is no longer the head of the EOTC. I just want to add on that. Thank you.

Having been on holiday in Egypt and found it a very interesting country. I was looking through the internet for deals for my family for Christmas in Egypt when i found this article on Christmas in Egypt and how both cultures come together to celebrate this festival. I myself come from Northern Ireland where we have so much trouble from a divided cultures/religion and I admire this interaction between cultures to come together to celebrate each others faiths. Maybe Egyptians can give us a few tipsespecially this month when the Catholic culture must suffer Orange triumplism and secterianism.

I have being looking through this website trying to find out about celebrations around the world.
I really enjoy the fact that it tells you about christmas and how much they do to celebrate the birth of christ our saviour, and how much a community can come together as one to celebrate there beliefs as one nation,The fact that they put the candles in the churches and in the streets to remember Joseph the Carpenter who lit the lamps to keep Mary warm from the cold is a very importiantpart of infomation…GOD BLESS EVERYONE.
