Arius DidymusRoman Emperors
Arius Didymus was a philosopher and a close friend of
Octavian at Rome who he returned with to Alexandria, and
it was partly because of his influence that Alexandria
was spared from destruction. He was a pupil of Antiochus of Askalon.
