Ashait11th Dynasty
Ashait was the wife of Mentuhotpe II
who ruled during the 11th Dynasty.
They were buried together in his very elaborate complex
at Deir el-Bahri at Thebes. Reliefs in her tomb
apparently show that she was Ethiopian of Negress. In her
coffin, a hymn was found about the four winds which come
from the four corners of the earth and are brought to
Egypt by mythical maidens.
