Bakenwerel
20th Dynasty
The Chief of Police in Western Thebes, Bakenwerel was the commander of
the Medjay, the Nubian militia in the region. He was one of the officials
who investigated the robbery of the royal tombs in the reign of King
Ramesses IX.
