Tuta

Eighteenth Dynasty

Tuta, called Tutu in some records, was an official of the 18th Dynasty who served in the reign of Akhenaten (Amenhotep IV), 1353-1335 B.C. Tuta was the chamberlain of Akhenaten's court at el-'Amarna, serving as a legate and diplomat as well. He had charge of various foreign affairs of the kingdom, and greeted the embassies from other lands. His elaborate tomb at Amarna was never finished.
