TutaEighteenth Dynasty
Tuta, called Tutu in some records, was an official of
the 18th
Dynasty who served in the reign of Akhenaten
(Amenhotep IV), 1353-1335 B.C. Tuta was the chamberlain
of Akhenaten's court at el-'Amarna, serving as a legate
and diplomat as well. He had charge of various foreign
affairs of the kingdom, and greeted the embassies from
other lands. His elaborate tomb at Amarna was never
finished.
